Every Wednesday and Friday, from 9.30 am to 12.30 pm. Appointments can be made direct to the Hairdresser at the Salon or via the Age Concern Day Centre on 01474 879473 or 07889 133633. Your stylist will be Sue. Sue is experienced, qualified, very friendly, and can offer a wide range of services and styles as you require. She is keen to please.

Most styles and treatments are available. All prices are subsidised by Age Concern and are much lower than commercial hairdressing prices - Charges A small surcharge applies to non-day centre clients in order to more fairly distribute client contributions towards the operating costs. (A day centre client is defined as one who has paid for their lunch at normal rate on the same day as receiving the hairdressing service.) For any client wishing to offer a gratuity (tip) to the hairdresser, we request this is limited to 10% of the price paid, i.e. 50p on £5.00.
Age Concern operates a home visiting service for Hairdressing where clients, on request, can be referred to several hairdressers who are known to Age Concern and who are willing to call on clients to provide a Hair Dressing Service at their home, for a small extra charge dependant on mileage. These hairdressers are known and acceptable to Age Concern but cannot be recommended as such as this service is very personal and clients need to make their own judgements based on their individual preferences.
