As the Employer, RACDV aim to provide safe, healthy and pleasant working conditions, equipment and systems of work for all employees and volunteers.
We also aim to provide sufficient information, supplies, training and supervision, to enable employees and volunteers to do their jobs correctly and safely, without risk to themselves or others.
We also accept, subject to the information detailed in the policy handbook that we are responsible for the safety of others that come into any of our premises, where we aim to provide a safe and healthy environment. A copy of the Health and Safety Policy Handbook is available to every employee and volunteer and, as far as is reasonably practical, we will ensure that all employees and volunteers read and understand all sections which are or could be applicable to them in their workplace or to any other workplace they could be assigned.
A copy of the Health and Safety Policy Handbook is available at the RACDV Main Office and is available for inspection during normal office hours by arrangement.
The Health and Safety policy and the way it is operated will be reviewed from time to time and the policy updated as necessary with any views of employees and volunteers fully considered. Any amendments will be issued either in new pages that can be inserted in to the policy handbook in place of the old page or by a complete replacement and all such amendments will be distributed to all RACDV workplaces and brought to the attention of all staff, volunteers and other persons in the work place.
RACDV welcome any comments on the content, or on the compliance, of our Health and Safety Policy, or on any matter relating to Health, Safety and Welfare within or affecting RACDV which may assist to maintain, improve or promote a safe and healthy working environment for all our employees, volunteers, elderly clients and other persons within the workplace.
