As a small local registered charity established in 1951, we are responsible for an area of benefit of some 110 square miles in the North Kent region of the South East of England. The area contains an estimated twenty six thousand persons of retirement age, a number that is increasing year on year.
We provide a diverse range of services to the disabled and frail elderly from our Day Centres, Advice & Information Office and within the Community. Many clients heavily depend on these services.
We operate on very limited resources. We receive some financial assistance from Kent County Council Social Services, from Councils within our area, from our Charity Shop, from limited fund raising and income generation schemes and from client contributions. However, we desperately need more income.
We very much welcome any amount within legacies and donations. We would be so appreciative if you could mention Rural Age Concern Darent Valley within your will and we may be able to accommodate a dedication to a loved one, keeping the name of that loved one forever, with arrangements related to the amount of the legacy.
Donations to Rural Age Concern Darent Valley may be made directly to the charity by cheque, postal order, cash, post, fax, e-mail, gift aid, or with prior arrangement by direct bank transfer (BACS or CHAPS). If you are eligible by having paid tax, by signing a simple form we are able to re-claim the tax paid on the amount of donation, increasing that donation by around 25% without any further cost to you.
You may rest assured that your donation / legacy will be carefully and wisely spent directly towards our services to the disabled and frail elderly, with follow up monitoring and final reports available on request. In continuous preceding years, we have been extremely careful and diligent in minimising expenditure and maximising income to achieve well balanced and extremely cost effective use of monies. Our annual audited accounts are available on request.
Please, do seriously consider making a donation or legacy to help us to assist others who are not as fortunate or able as ourselves.
